About this event Dublin Lunar New Year returns for Year of the Snake in 2025. In 2024, we have celebrated the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ireland and China. Dublin Lunar New Year 2025 has events for all the family as we celebrate the Year of the Snake. The celebrations will culminate on Sunday, 2 February with the festival's flagship event, a day of 2025 is the Year of the Snake – symbolising wisdom, transformation and resilience – and the East Asian community in Dublin will come together to celebrate from January 25 until February 2.
