Birmingham’s Chinese New Year Celebrations will take place Sat 1 – Sun 2 Feb to welcome the Year of the Snake. The Birmingham Chinese Festival Association began with a casual lunch conversation at a restaurant between two friends in 2005 and has developed into the largest Chinese New Year Celebration in Alabama. Chinese New Year 2025 is co-produced by Birmingham Chinese Festival Committee and Birmingham Hippodrome. This year’s festival is sponsored by Uber Eats and supported by Southside District, The Arcadian, Wing Yip and Brothers Foundation and The Birmingham Chinese School.
