In 2025 Vancouver celebrates the Lunar New Year with the 51st annual Chinese New Year Parade in Chinatown. It’s an impressive event! The Year of the Snake begins on January 29th in 2025. Running since 1973, the parade takes place on the first Sunday after the start of the New Year. In 2025, consequently, that means the parade happens on Vancouver Chinese Association (VCA) will be hosting the 2025 Lunar New Year Gala on Sunday, February 16th at Skyview High School (1300 NW 139th St, Vancouver). We have a live performance by local artists, kids games and DIY crafts, art & calligraphy show, and complimentary Chinese light meal.
