Welcome to Popber's Chinese New Year Festival in Lancaster - Celebrating the Year of the Snake. At Popber, we are thrilled to usher in the Year of the Snake with our fourth annual Chinese New Year celebration in Lancaster. Mark your calendars for Sunday, February 2nd, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM as we gather at Ewell Plaza and Binns Park for Lancaster AAPI’s Annual Lunar New Year Celebration—an event that brings our community together in the spirit of the new year to celebrate the Year of the Snake! Join us in making the Lancaster Chinese New Year Festival 2025 success. What we'll deliver: Lions and Dragon parade; 10 traditional Chinese performances in the city center; National level Chinese performances in Lancaster; Stage and PA systems; 4 free cultural workshops; Hanging over 500 Chinese lanterns in the city center; Why it's a great idea: Experience a cultural extravaganza at our family-friendly Carnival! Enjoy the mesmerizing Dragon and Lion Parades weaving through the city, along with performances featuring Chinese Dance, Kung Fu, and traditional music. Participate in our engaging, free workshops. With its outstanding collection of Asian art, The Maridon Museum invites you to celebrate Lunar New Year during its Chinese New Year’s celebration. There will be musical entertainment, an exciting scavenger hunt, and, of course, delicious hors d’oeuvres and other refreshments. Lancaster's Chinese New Year Festival, now in its fourth year, is the only Chinese festival of its type in Lancashire and is fast becoming one of the region’s most popular and well-attended events. Chinese New Year celebrations are returning to Lancaster including a variety show and carnival. The Lancaster Chinese New Year Variety Show takes place on Saturday January 27 at the Lancaster Grand from 7pm to 9pm and tickets are on sale now.
