If youāve been keeping track, this makes Lunar Awakening the gameās second limited-time event, following the Diablo 4 is bringing in a new event called the Lunar Awakening. One of the main draws in this seasonal event is that players will be able to earn what is known as ancestral favour, which they can turn in to acquire specific seasonal awards, like a new set of armour, a special Chinese New Year-inspired horse, or even some cosmetic items. Blizzard Studio on the Twitter account of the Overwatch shooter announced that today, January 25, a fresh event will start on the main servers of the project. The Chinese New Year event will bring some new content to the game that will refresh the gameplay. Blizzardās Overwatch Chinese New Year seasonal event has gone live, complete with new skins and a new gameplay mode to boot. The new mode is Capture the Rooster, which is basically, capture the flag on Lijiang Tower. The new event is trash, CTF was always trash and now Blizzard is forcing us to play them in arcade. I prefer the old method of winning 9 games in any modality instead of being forced to play arcade. This has been an ongoing trend with WoW and store mounts. Thereās been a rat, ox, pig, dog, etc. This isnāt new. Itās one of those things I never see people speculate about and hardly any of my friends are even online playing during the duration of the event. I personally donāt like it, having an event themed after a culture is bizarre to me.
