To make a Chinese fan, start by cutting out a 3-foot by 9-inch rectangle from a piece of thick paper. Then, rotate the rectangle so it's vertical, and mark every 1/2 inch from the top to the bottom. Next, accordion fold the paper along the marks you made, and wrap masking tape around one of the ends to give the folded paper a fan shape. Lunar New Year is a holiday celebrated around the world!
