The Perth Chinese New Year Fair is back Sunday 2 February to celebrate the Year of the Snake with a series of special events. The popular community event promises a captivating array of cultural experiences and festivities - attendees can immerse themselves in traditional arts and crafts, and see colourful cultural performances, including the highly anticipated lion and dragon dances. The Chinese New Year event hosted by Chung Wah Association will take place on James and Lake Street in Northbridge on Sunday 2 February 2025 from 12pm to 9pm. The event is a free community street event, including stalls, food trucks, entertainment/music and a parade. EVENT DETAILS Event: Chinese New Year Perth will come alive in January and February 2025 with vibrant Chinese New Year celebrations, offering a unique blend of traditional and modern festivities. Known as the Year of the Snake, this significant event in the Chinese lunar calendar begins on Wednesday, January 29. A symbol of elegance and renewal, Perth is getting geared up to celebrate Lunar New Year and the zodiac sign of the snake in true style. While the Chinese Perths largest Lunar New Year celebration, the Perth Chinese New Year Fair will be held on Sunday, 2 February 2025, to celebrate the Year of the Snake. The Fair will be held in James and Lake Streets, Northbridge and Northbridge Piazza (12 pm – 9 pm) and Yagan Square (12 pm – 5 pm). The huge event has an annual attendance of 35,000 visitors – this year, it will take place on February 2, with stalls, entertainment, arts and craft workshops, games and other activities along James Celebrate Lunar New Year in Perth with festive street markets, exciting events, and delicious food and drink experiences.
