Every year before Chinese New Year, you will see long snaking queues at DBS/POSB ATMs or bank branches to get new notes for CNY Ang Bao money. DBS/POSB starts their online reservation service on 7 January 2025. Sections: 🌐Online Reservation 🚶♂️Walk-in 🏧Pop-Up DBS/POSB Online Reservation For New Notes Make plans on how you want to get new notes for CNY 2025 Ang Bao money from OCBC. You will need to make an online appointment to exchange for Fit-for-gifting notes (Fit notes) and new notes at any OCBC bank branch. OCBC starts its services on 7 January 2025. Sections: 🌐Online Reservation 🚶♂️Walk-in 🏧ATM OCBC This service is only available for UOB customers making reservations via Personal Internet Banking on a first-come-first serve basis. The new notes limit for each reservation is capped at S$500. Depending on availability, S$2 denominations could be ‘good-as-new’ notes. Each customer is allowed only one reservation. Each customer is only allowed one reservation via the Chinese New Year Notes Online Reservation Service to enable more customers to exchange notes. 10. What types of notes or denominations are available? There are two types of notes available: Fit-for-Gifting notes (Fit notes) or new notes. You may choose either Standard Chartered Online Reservation For New Notes. Place an online reservation for Standard Chartered CNY New notes through Standard Chartered’s new notes reservation site, and clicking on the “Reserve Now” button which is located at the bottom of the screen. Do note: Online reservations is only opened to CIMB Bank Deposit and Credit Card customers; NO walk-ins without reservation of new notes is allowed, other than customers aged 60 and above or customers with disabilities. Subject to availability. For online reservations, each customer is only entitled to one reservation slot during the Location and Opening Hours of Pop-up ATM. You may obtain new notes via our 57 pop-up ATMs and Fit notes at 15 pop-up ATMs located island wide during the Lunar New Year season starting 14 to 27 January 2025 (10am to 10pm daily) and 28 January 2025 (10am to 1pm). Making of Reservations 3. Reservations will only be processed upon successful submission of an online request on the Chinese New Year New Notes Online Reservation Service (the “Request”) by the customer. 4. Reservations may only be made during the three booking windows (4-6 January, 11-13 January and 18-20 January). x Dear Customers, online reservation for Chinese New Year new notes has been fully taken up. Reservations must be made at least three days’ prior to the customer’s preferred date of collection of the reserved notes. 5. Location and Opening Hours of Pop-up ATM. You may obtain new notes via our 57 pop-up ATMs and Fit notes at 15 pop-up ATMs located island wide during the Lunar New Year season starting 14 to 27 January 2025 (10am to 10pm daily) and 28 January 2025 (10am to 1pm). Please note that an online reservation is required for exchange of new notes on a first-come, first-served basis , except for clients aged 60 and above, or with persons with disabilities. For these clients, you may visit our branches between 14 to 28 January 2025 without any prior reservation, whilst stocks last. Happy Lunar New Year. You can also reserve your New or Fit-for-Gifting notes through our reservation portal or withdraw them at your convenience at any of our Lunar New Year ATMs. More slots will be available in our next reservation window starting 13 January. Customers can also obtain new notes via our 57 pop-up ATMs and Fit notes at 15 pop-up ATMs located island-wide starting 14 January, or make withdrawals from our network of 1,200 regular ATM machines, which are available 24/7.
