The fun kicks off Friday night at the Chinese Cultural Plaza at 5:00 p.m Chinese New Year Celebration. The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii once again hosts activities for its annual Chinese New Year Celebration at the Chinatown Cultural Plaza from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Over 40 food, craft and cultural booths, free activities for keiki, Chinese lion dances and entertainment This year they are kicking off the “Year of the Snake” with the annual Chinese New Year Celebration at the Chinatown Cultural Plaza on Friday, January 24 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday Honolulu's Chinatown Cultural Plaza will come alive with vibrant Lunar New Year celebrations on January 24–25, 2025, marking the Year of the Snake. Festivities kick off Friday evening from 5 pm to 10 pm and continue all day Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm. Visitors can enjoy two days of cultural performances, delicious food, and lively entertainment. Again, this is the final return of Chinatown’s Chinese New Year celebration and festivities. And tomorrow, the whole Chinese New Year celebrations are back in Chinatown, and folks are welcomed to celebrate the year of the rabbit next weekend beginning Friday. This place is historic. The Moongate Stage is legendary. Chinatown Cultural Plaza is epic and has a special place in my heart.
