The 2025 Annual Chinese Lunar New Year Parade will take place Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Hosted and organized by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of Washington, DC (CCBA) in partnership with the DC Mayor’s Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs (MOAPIA). In the lunar calendar, it will be the year 4723! Lunar New Year, a celebration known in China as “Spring Festival,” begins on Jan. 29, 2025. With a variety of Asian cultures in the DC area, including Chinatown, the nation's capital features numerous ways to celebrate the holiday. D.C.’s annual Lunar New Year parade this weekend will be chockful of traditional dances and garb, but will also come with some road closures along the parade route.
