The Peninsula is hosting some Lunar New Year celebrations this year, kicking off with a traditional lion dance celebration in the hotel lobby on January 29th at 9:30 am! This day, typically the second Saturday of the Chinese New Year, is considered the "Closing" of the Chinese New Year celebrations. Over 20 lion dance groups, each with their own unique style and energy, will parade through the greater Chinatown area.
