The yearly Q-for-new-notes event is here again! Every year before Chinese New Year, you will see long snaking queues at DBS/POSB ATMs or bank branches to get new notes for CNY Ang Bao money. Standard Chartered does not have any pop-up ATM for new notes. Online reservation starts on 7 January 2025. OCBC ATM New/Fit Notes. Withdrawal period: 14 January to 27 January 2025; You can withdraw up to S$1,800 worth of new or Fit notes. These ATM will operate from Monday to Sunday from 10.30am to 7.00pm except OCBC Centre Branch, which will operate from 9am to 6pm. You can only withdraw up to 2 CNY bundles of new and Fit notes throughout this period. The new notes limit for each reservation is capped at S$500. Depending on availability, S$2 denominations could be ‘good-as-new’ notes. Each customer is allowed only one reservation. Should there be duplicate or multiple reservations, only the latest order will be accepted. Apart from POSB / DBS’s Bank Teller Machines (BTMs) where you can exchange new notes all year round, you can also get new notes by withdrawing from DBS / POSB pop-up ATMs and at selected UOB & OCBC ATMs from 14 January 2025 this Chinese New Year (CNY). No pre-booking or online reservation is required to draw new notes from these machines. Please note that the availability of new notes for Ang Pao may vary from branch to branch.
