This year the date is officially marked on Jan. 29 and begins the Year of the Snake, according to the Chinese zodiac. You can find special events, foods and more to celebrate the arrival of Tet and Lunar New Year. Here are four ways you can celebrate the occasion across OKC. Several Oklahoma City metro communities will celebrate the Lunar New Year. Here is where you can join in on the festivities. The Oklahoma City Thunder continue an NBA tradition that dates back to 2012 with an official game honoring Lunar New Year scheduled Jan. 30.
