The San Diego Chinese New Year Fair hosted by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association has been a staple event in the community since 1983. Our event has grown year after year and we are proud to have become one of the biggest and most popular celebrations in San Diego. Every year, our neighbors at the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association host a street fair in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year, which takes place on Third Avenue where we're located in downtown San Diego. This year, the 42nd Annual Chinese New Year Fair will take place on February 8-9. During the fair, we'll open our facilities to Annual San Diego Chinese New Year Fair The fair was originally developed by the Chinese Social Service Center, which later changed its name to the San Diego Chinese Center (SDCC). The leadership of the annual fair has now transitioned to the CCBA and takes place in the old Chinatown of San Diego, now known as the Asian Thematic District. The San Diego Chinese New Year Faire, hosted by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, is scheduled to return for its 41st year in February, celebrating the Year of the Dragon.
