This year, Lunar New Year lands on Wednesday, Jan 29, 2025. Celebrations typically begin the night before, and extends up to 15 days. This Lunar New Year marks the transition to the Year of the Snake, which is the sixth animal of the zodiac. Traditionally, New Year’s eve and New Year’s day are reserved for family celebrations, including Seattle Center Tet – Seattle. Jan. 25-26 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. Vietnamese Lunar New Year will be held in the Armory Food and Event Hall, and Fisher Pavillion with food vendors, lion dances, art shows, and family friendly/children activities.
