The 2024 Korean Lunar New Year holiday, or Seollal, is a widely celebrated holiday in Korea, and many public agencies and companies will be on vacation. Most tourist areas will still be open throughout the entire holiday season, with the exception of most businesses being closed on the actual day of Seollal (Feb 10th). Hyundai Premium Outlet’s Gimpo and Songdo branches, Space One, and Daejeon branches will remain open throughout the Lunar New Year holiday. My advice would be to rethink your trip. Seollal is a major holiday in Korea. Tourist attractions such as palaces and N Seoul Tower are open as normal. Shop closures vary by store, but you can expect department stores to be closed for 2 days over Seollal; I believe that Dongdaemun also closes over the holiday period.
