As millions of people around the world celebrate the Lunar New Year, a cultural kick off -- in the form of the Firecracker Festival -- packed the streets of Chinatown on Wednesday. New York City celebrated Lunar New Year with its annual Firecracker Ceremony and Cultural Festival in Chinatown, marking the Year of the Snake. The event featured lion dances, speeches from local leaders, and a firecracker display.
